About

Established in 2014 through the registration of the Labuan Financial Services Authority, the Labuan Development Foundation (YPL) is an NGO affiliate built on the trust of Labuan citizens to representatives of non-governmental organizations to assist the overall development of the Labuan island. We are committed to developing Labuan as a smart island that is alive, conducive, prosperous and sustainable in line with the aspirations of its citizens.

The success of the YPL depends on the practicality of the planning and the support of the Labuan people themselves.

Dengan kedudukan istimewanya sebagai sebuah pulau bebas cukai di bawah pentadbiran kerajaan Persekutuan, Labuan pastinya mempunyai peluang dan potensi yang sangat besar untuk dibangunkan menjadi sebuah wilayah yang maju, seterusnya memberikan sumbangan yang besar kepada pembangunan sosioekonomi dan kemajuan negara.

YPL sentiasa komited untuk bersama-sama membantu melonjakkan Labuan menjadi sebuah bandar pulau pintar yang mampan, makmur dan lestari. Bersesuaian dengan tujuan penubuhan YPL, kami bersedia memikul tanggungjawab dan memainkan peranan untuk membantu merealisasikan hasrat ke arah memberikan perkhidmatan yang efisyen dan mewujudkan persekitaran hidup yang lebih menyeluruh, harmoni dan sejahtera.

YPL mengambil pendekatan dengan memperkasakan warga Labuan melalui jaringan kerjasama yang erat dengan badan-badan bukan kerajaan dari pelbagai bidang dan pengkhususan di Labuan. Disamping mengungkayah kepimpinan dan pengurusan NGO, ianya akan menjadi suatu kejayaan dan pencapaian cemerlang bersama-sama warga Labuan.

The Labuan Development Foundation is an organization established for Labuan citizens with additional support in 5 core areas of Education, Youth & Sports, Arts & Culture, Economy & Entrepreneurship, and Charity & Environment. Our support is not of individual interest but rather to the development of NGO’s organizations involved in the aforementioned areas. Cooperation is better than being alone because the ultimate goal is holistic and pragmatic human development. The support is not solely focused on finance but YPL’s role is to provide physical assistance, ideas, and even processing of existing resources to enable the development goals to achieve the goals and inspiration of the latest community.

The success of YPL depends not only on us in this organization, but also on the support and belief of Labuan people in the direction of making Labuan prosperous. I am confident that the YPL team will now be able to provide a new generation of ideas in carrying out this responsibility with our beloved Labuan brothers.
